PROSEL
Prosel. Vitamin and Mineral Supplement. It covers the primary and secondary deficiencies of Selenium and Vitamins E and A*. Sterile Injectable Emulsion Ready to Use.
COMPOSITION
Sodium Selenite (Anhydrous) 0,035 g; Vitamin E Acetate (Dl alpha tocopherol) 0,750 g; Vitamin A Palmitate 255.000 UI; Potassium Diacid Phosphate 1,500 g; Formulation Agents and Sterile Water For Injection qsf 100 ml.

Equivalences for suggested dose every 50 kg of weight: Selenium 0, 16 a 0,32 mg/ 50 kg; Phosphorus 3,24 a 6,48 mg/ 50 kg; Vitamin A Pa Imitate 2550 a 5100 UI / 50 kg; Vitamin E Acetate 7,425 a 14.85 mg/ 50 kg.
INDICATIONS AND USAGE
It is indicate as curative and preventive of primary or secondary origin deficiency states, with respect to Selenium, Vitamins E and A in cattle and sheep.
Prosel prevents and reverts pathophysiological disease and metabolic imbalances such as nutritional anestrus and deficiency infertility syndrome, prevents osteomalacia and rickets.
Prosel is indicated as curative and preventive in nutritional muscular dystrophy (white muscle disease STD/Selenium -Tocopherol Deficiency Syndrome) in lambs and calves.
Use in cattle and sheep of any race, age and sex.
INDICATIVE DOSAGE
1 to 2 mL/ 50 kg of weight.
With a minimum interval between doses of 30 days.
Only injectable by subcutaneous route.
APPLICATION FREQUENCY
SYSTEMATIC (CONTINUOUS SUPPLEMENTATION):
Every 60 – 90 days.
SELECTIVE (PREVENTIVE SUPPLEMENTATION):
Pre-parturition:
In dairy cattle: one dose at the time of dry, repeating it between 7 to 10 days prior to the parturition probably date. A third dose may be repeated 30 days after the last one.
In breeding cows: in a period between 30 to 45 days before the parturition probably date of the rodeo.
Simultaneous application of Unimag is suggested in order to prevent postpartum cow syndrome and placental retentions.
Pre-service:
Prior to starting the scheduled services in males and females. Simultaneous application of Acuprin is suggested in order to optimize herd fertility.
Conventional or early weaning:
It will be indicated for calves with their mother until weaning event.
Feedlot:
Administer in the adaptation period and then every 30 days until finished.
PRECAUTIONS
Do not administer in cases in which selenosis and/or hypervitaminosis A and/or E are suspected.
Do not eat
Keep out of reach of children and domestic animals.
It is suggested not to administer the product within 30 days after the last vaccination of the animals with any type and origin of vaccine or tuberculinization test.
Special attention should be given to dairy cattle, due to the genetic sensitivity of this breed.
In rare cases animals with idiopathic sensitivity to the product can be seen, this is described as an anaphylactoid reaction and happens within 30 minutes of the single application of the product at the indicated doses. In this cases the administration of it should be discontinued immediately, and the convenient symptomatic treatment should be established (corticosteroids or ultra-fast-acting antihistamines intravenously).
WARNINGS
Store below 30°C, protected from direct sunlight in a dry and hygienic place.
Verify the integrity of the seals prior to use.
Keep the aseptic and antiseptic conditions before and during application.
Do not apply more than 10 mL per application point.
Do not mix in the same syringe or container with any other substance other than the product (antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, anesthetics).
