PROPOVET
PropoVet
Richmond Vet Pharma
Propofol 10 mg / mL Veterinary Use Only
Composition
Propofol 1.0 g; Excipients q.s.f. 100.00 mL.
Indications of Use
PropoVet is especially indicated as an induction agent (before endotracheal intubation for inhalation anesthesia), as a short acting anesthesia for minor procedures (suture lacerations, endoscopy, biopsies, radiological or dental procedures). For long lasting surgeries repeated doses or continuous infusion is administered.
The intravenous administration of PropoVet produces an anesthesia of fast installation in a wide range of species, with a hypnosis time similar to thiopental. Animals quickly recover and the periods of hypnosis do not last long after repeated doses.
It may be used alone or combined with other anesthetics capable of producing in combination a perfect state of relaxation and analgesia.
